Scholarships

The Sterling Foundation is pleased to announce its 2025 Scholarship Program for eligible students of Park View, Dominion, and Potomac Falls High Schools.

 

The Sterling Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization that exists to strengthen the Sterling community by fostering diverse environmental, educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities for enhanced quality of life. The scholarship program focus is on students whose academic and career goals will contribute to the quality of life in their community. Awards will range from $500 to $2000, based on the number of awards granted.

Eligibility & Judging Criteria

To be eligible, you must be an upcoming graduating student at either Park View, Dominion, or Potomac Falls high schools in Sterling, Virginia.  

Below are the elements for application and award:

  1. Personal Profile - including field of study and school and career objectives

  2. Financial Information - sources of support and parents’ income – prefer an adjusted gross income under $80K

  3. Community Service - description of those activities

  4. Extra-Curricular Activities - description of those activities

  5. Awards and Recognition - while attending grades 9-12

  6. Essay on how your degree will positively impact your community

 

If you are related to any officers, board members, or selection committee members with the Sterling Foundation, unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

How To Submit Your Application

All applications must be submitted to the guidance counselor’s office at your respective school.

 

Application Deadline: is May 1, 2025. A committee of dedicated Sterling Foundation Board members will evaluate all applications. Scholarships will be awarded in June 2025.
